Asda is now selling the HTC Evo 3D for a mere £207, less than half its original suggested retail price and by far the best value for money handset on the market.
This device is still very much a mainstream smartphone and has some stunning features like a 4.3-inch qHD (960 by 540 pixels) glassless 3D display.
As its name implies, users will be able to capture (and display) still and video content in 3D using the dual five megapixel cameras onboard. Note that 3D pictures are limited to two megapixel and videos to 720p.
There's also a 1.3-megapixel front facing 2D camera. Other features include a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the MSM8660, which is clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 1GB ROM, a microSD card slot, Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, Wi-Fi, microUSB, DLNA compatibility and Bluetooth.
The downside of offering so many features is thatat 12mm it is thicker than most phones and weighs a substantial 170g.
At less than half the price of the iPhone 4, with significantly much better configuration and a confirmed upgrade path to Ice Cream Sandwich, the Evo 3D is a no brainer.
