iOS 5.1 Gold Master Completes Testing

Apple is getting ready for set of rich events, as the rumoured iOS 5.1 Gold Master build recently passed the quality assurance tests and is ready for a release.

Known internally under the codename of Hoodoo, the iOS 5.1 Gold Master has been tested not only internally, but also by Apple partners and carriers.

The extensive phase of testing, in order to insure Apple requirements, lasted about three weeks.

Despite the well-known Apple secrecy, some screenshots have been leaked to the tech blogs, which closely follow the Cupertino based company.

In addition to the images that have surfaced on the Internet, Chronic Wire published a report on the subject, with hot new information obtained from an anonymous yet "very solid source."

The report suggests that iOS 5.1 Gold Master will come with a feature that allows users to access the camera much easier, from the locked screen. Moreover, the new software upgrade will provide Siri with support for the Japanese language.

Chronic Wire also hints that the iOS 5.1 Gold Master will deliver "at least two other new features that have not been publicly leaked."

This all remains to be seen, but we expect some big announcements from Cupertino in the coming days.
