Users, all over the world with an Archos G9 tablet to their name will be pleased to discover that the Android 4.0.3 is now available to download. According to SlashGear, the update began its worldwide tour just yesterday - and for those looking to take a bite out of the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update, simply keep an eye out for an "A" notification located in the lower right-hand corner of the device.

Archos addicts will certainly have a lot to look forward to with this update, including full 1080p support for most films, video codecs and television shows, quicker web browsing, multitasking, customisable home screens, resizable widgets, and better social media integration. Not to mention improved text input, spell checking, an enhanced voice input facility plus some nifty imaging functionality.

Photo lovers will also be spoilt, thanks to the redesigned Gallery app and its photo editor, with the ability to share files wirelessly from the tablet to another DNLA compatible device. This is in addition to an Archos remote control application, which permits the tablet to be controlled by other devices.
