Apple Configurator Released for Enterprise Environment and Schools

In order to help its clients form the business and educational sectors to manage iOS devices, the Cupertino based company has released the Apple Configurator.

This allows up to 30 iPhones, iPads or the last generation iPods to be set up quickly. The devices are configured with the same set of settings, apps and data for students, employees or customers.

The initial set up only comprises of a few steps and this makes all the configuration much easier, with users relying on Apple Configurator to even supervise a group of devices - where the applications offer a wide range of possibilities, too.

"Supervision is an ideal option for loaning iOS devices to customers (for example, hotels, restaurants, and hospitals), sharing devices among students in a classroom or a lab, or deploying devices for dedicated tasks (for example, retail, field service, or medical)," explains the official product description.

To make the feature even more interesting, Apple Configurator allows the user to assign the devices to specific users and to save their data and settings for each use.

Apple Configurator becomes an easy to use tool in device management, particularly in schools and other educational institutions. Now that textbook syncing is only a matter of a few taps, while assigning apps and configurations according to the students' grades makes the deployment of iPads in schools even more convenient than before.
