Both mobile phone operators Three and Vodafone have announced that they will be stocking the new iPad which is scheduled to be launched on the 16th of March, this coming friday.
Three says that they will be publishing pricing and availability as soon as possible on their dedicated iPad page where users can also register their interest.
The same applies for Vodafone who says that they will be offering the new iPad in line with Apple timings which means that the new tablets should be available from the 16th itself. Pricing and availability will be confirmed over the forthcoming days.
The tablet was launched last week and is a massive improvement on the existing one whose price drops down to £329.
The new iPad (not the iPad 3 or iPad HD as first thought) comes with a 2,048 by 1,056 pixels, four times the pixel count of the previous model.
Apple also swapped the A5 in the iPad 2 for an improved A5X which comes with a quad core GPU, possibly the PowerVR SGX543MP4.
The camera as well has been significantly improved with a five-megapixel model replacing the current one-megapixel one and inheriting the same electronics as the iPhone 4S.
The last big improvement is the addition of 4G which means that the new iPad will be the first tablet in the UK to support the high speed wireless technology even if it is not yet widely available in the country.
