UK Mobile phone operator Three mobile is currently selling the Sony Xperia S smartphone for as little as £370 on PAYG, which is by far the cheapest HD ready handset we've seen on the market.
The Three Mobile deal excludes a compulsory £15 top up which pays for an all you can eat data offer with 300 minutes and 3000 texts.
The Sony Xperia S was officially announced at Mobile World Congress almost two weeks ago and is currently available on preorder from O2 from as little as £21.50 on a two year contract. You can also buy it as a SIM free option for around £430.
The handset comes with a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset clocked at 1.5GHz with a 4.3-inch Reality Display screen with a 1,280 by 720 pixels resolution and Mobile Bravia technology.
The rest of the configuration includes 1GB RAM, 32GB onboard storage, a 12-megapixel camera with flash and full HD video recording option and Exmor R technology, a non-removable battery, HDMI and USB ports, a microSIM slot and a front facing 1.3-megapixel camera.
The handset currently runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread but should be upgradable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich later this year and it is Playstation Certified.
