Survey Reveals 84 Per Cent Of Corporate Buyers Prefer iPads

Apple is the clear winner in the tablet market, at least for now, and its position is going to be reinforced, after the release of the third generation tablet.

According to the latest ChangeWave Research survey, the tablet market is in full expansion in the enterprise sector, as 22 per cent of the polled companies intend to buy a tablet this year.

Moreover, 84 per cent of the corporate buyers will choose an iPad. This is the highest score Apple reached in the survey, when it comes to the purchase intent.

The jump comes after the previous study revealed a pent up demand for iPads. At the time, the study revealed that in November 2011, 77 per cent of future tablet buyers were looking to acquire an Apple product.

Still, when it comes to corporate tablet demand, Apple's main rival, Samsung is at a huge distance behind; only 8 per cent of the buyers in the enterprise sector would choose a tablet from the South Korean giant.

Amazon is close, in third place with 6 per cent. This study was performed in February 8 - 21, 2012, ahead of the unveiling of the third generation iPad and representatives from 1,604 of US companies were asked to take part in the survey.
