The upcoming Windows Phone 7.5 Tango update will be known as Refresh and it will bring some minor but interesting features.
Windows Phone Italy managed to interview Duico, Windows Phone Business Group Lead at Microsoft Italia, and he confirmed that Microsoft is going to call the follow up to Mango as Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh.
Previously codenamed Tango, this upgrade will come with a limited set of new features which explains why Microsoft giant has chosen not to change the version numbe and just to refresh its name.
Windows Phone Refresh is said to have limitations for cheaper, lower-tier handsets, especially for those that have less than 256MB of RAM.
Because some applications would need more processing power and system memory, Microsoft is said to consider limiting some features on smartphones that do not have the required specs.
These include fast app switching, managing podcast subscriptions, watching video podcasts, using Local Scout or automatically uploading images on SkyDrive.
Windows Phone 7.5 Refresh will also enhance MMS support, add new roaming settings and more SIM options (export/manage contacts), while setting a new range of privacy alerts which will be implemented as an icon showing near the battery indicator whenever the location is being accessed.
