Research In Motion has made public the BlackBerry financial Wallet application is now compatible with its latest OS 7.
The app, which remembers financial and banking information, aims to speed up mobile checkout and purchasing. It can remember card numbers, billing information and delivery addresses too. This is besides login information, for shopping websites and reward schemes.
OS 7 was released last year, on the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 devices. The update included a much improved web browser, liquid graphics, BlackBerry balance and better social networking integration. OS 7 is available on new devices only.
There have, however, been reports of an issue with this new updated app version. The card number is no longer shown in its entirety, which could become an issue when having multiple cards stored inside of the app.
