Galaxy S3 Launch On 15th Of March : Samsung Comments

Remember the Samsung event invite that surfaced on the 19th of February? The one that pointed to a Samsung Benelux press invite that would apparently showcase the company's line up for 2012 and which was rumoured to involve the Samsung Galaxy S3.

Well we got in touch with Samsung PR team in the UK and they told us that there was no more info on this and that they would let us know more if they hear anything. Arguably, unless it was a very secretive reseller meeting, the Samsung Galaxy S3 was not launched there.

So, the next launch date for the Samsung Galaxy S3 is now set to be the 22nd of May in London according to the latest rumour (although April was also mentioned).

Other hearsays include a leaked picture of the S3 courtesy of Reddit, the fact that the S3 will come with wireless charging, with a ceramic case, a quad core processor from Samsung (rather than from competitors) and a 4.8-inch full HD display.

We suspect that the S3 is the reason why the price of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has fallen down so quickly and why Samsung decided to can the 32GB version of the device.
