The third generation iPad will hit the shelves in another 26 countries, as promised by Apple at the launch event. For most of the customers in these countries, any chance to get the highly anticipated device as fast as possible is to queue in front of the stores.
So far, in the pre-order time frame, the stocks available for online purchase are already exhausted or there is a delivery time of up to two to three weeks.
Today it is time for customers in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden to get the latest Apple tablet, starting 8AM local time.
According to a recent Apple Insider report, in many of these new markets enthusiastic customers are lining up in front of the stores before dawn, starting to queue even yesterday.
Apple announced that the new iPad was exceptionally well received by the market, as the company managed to sell 3 million units in the launch weekend. As well as Apple's announcement of its record sales, AT&T also published a press release informing the public about the single-day record for iPad sales and activations last Friday.
