£129.95 Nokia Lumia 710 Is Cheapest Windows Phone 7.5 Ever

You can now grab a Windows Phone 7.5 - the Nokia Lumia 710 - for as little as £129.95 at Carphone Warehouse and it's not half bad as well given that the Lumia 610 is Nokia's entry level WP handset.

The smartphone is likely to be unlocked as well although you will have to buy it with a £10 top up. The Lumia 710 is essentially a more affordable version of the Lumia 800.

LIke the latter, it has a single core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.4GHz, 512MB RAM but only 8GB internal storage (no memory card slot) and a five megapixel camera. Other features include USB, WiFI, Bluetooth, a 3.7-inch 800 by 480 pixels ClearBlack display with Gorilla Glass, HD recording, exchangeable Xpress-on covers and Windows Phone 7.5.

As for other Nokia Windows Phone handsets, it comes with SkyDrive, Xbox Live, Zune and Microsoft Office native integration plus Nokia Mix Radio, Nokia Drive and Nokia Maps - all of which are exclusive to Nokia.

The price drop comes as the Nokia 900 has been released in the US and will come to the UK in May 2012. At £130, the Lumia 710 sits alongside the now out of stock £150 Sony Ericsson Xperia Play and the £207 HTC Evo 3D in our smartphone hall of fame.
