Motorola RAZR MAXX Available On Preorder From £430

Both Expansys and Clove have put the newly announced Motorola RAZR MAXX on preorder for £430 and £430.80 respectively with Clove throwing in a free pair of folding speakers worth £20. Clove expects the first stock to be available from mid-May.

The smartphone is a variant of the Motorola RAZR with a slightly thicker profile (8.99mm which is still thinner than the iPhone 4S) which is due to the much bigger battery - a 3300mAh battery - used that allows the MAXX to deliver up to 17.6 hours of talk time.

The rest of the phone's specification is similar to the original Motorola RAZR; the back of the handset is made up of the super-strong-yet-light Kevlar Fibre material while the screen is covered with Corning Corilla glass. In addition, Motorola has applied a protective slashguard coating that even protects the inside of the phone.

There's also a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED 960 by 540 pixels display, a dual core TI OMAP processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, microUSB, an eight megapixel caemra with flash and AF, Android 2.3 Gingerbread (upgradable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich) and a weight of 145g.
