Research in Motion has announced that the popular BlackBerry Messenger service will be integrated with most applications found on the RIM platform over the following few weeks. Amongst the updates, we should expect services like Facebook, Twitter, Travel, Music, App World and others, to contain dedicated sharing buttons.
Updates to some applications will be served in the following ten days, enhancing their status to connected apps. This limited circle denotes programmes that integrate BBM functionality right into the application, so users could share content, chat with contacts and discover new BlackBerry software without leaving the panel.
Amongst the connected we could find BlackBerry's dedicated apps for Twitter, Facebook, Travel, App World and Music. The first two will be updated to version 3.0 soon and will introduce a "Share with BBM" button which lets users discover new tweets and Facebook updates with their BBM contacts.
The 2.5 version of BlackBerry Travel will allow users to share traveling plans and what their current location is, with the use of an "Update BBM Contacts" button. The App World developers have also included a checkbox on the "Successfully Installed" screen which can let contacts know what new applications users choose to install.
The BlackBerry Music service now allows the mark of favourite songs/playlists, while the main BBM application received tag functions and new animated avatars.
All these new features can be experienced by downloading new versions of the above quoted programmes, with Twitter 3.0 already being present in the market.
