Apple iPad 2 Price Cut To £290

If a free engraving is not worth £39 to you, then you might consider buying the iPad 2 from Ebuyer via Ebay for a mere £290, almost as cheap as its refurbished price at Apple.

We wonder how Ebuyer has managed to drop the price of the tablet by more than 11 per cent seemingly without Apple's consent, given that the tablet is cheaper on Ebuyer's Ebay account than on the site itself.

The device is available in white or black and is a brand new, unused and non-refurbished item. Although it has been superseded by the New iPad, it still is a very capable tablet which matches the likes of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 or the Motorola XOOM.

As a reminder, it comes with a dual core Apple A5 system on chip clocked at 1GHz, 512MB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a 9.7-inch 1,024 by 768 pixels IPS Display with fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating, a rear 0.7-megapixel camera and a front-facing 0.3-megapixel one. Its battery can power the tablet for up to 10 hours and connectivity options include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

At just 601g and a thickness of only 8.8mm, it is light enough to carry around and the tablet, which runs iOS 5.1, is the perfect complement to a great piece of hardware.
