LG Optimus L7 Goes On Preorder For £233

The LG Optimus L7, the Korean firm's answer to the Samsung Galaxy S2, has gone preorder at Handtec for a mere £234, its cheapest preorder price yet. The smartphone was launched back in February just before Mobile World Congress and other retailers have stated that it will ship on the 1st of May.

The handset comes with a dual core processor clocked at 1GHz, 1GB RAM, a 4.3-inch 800 by 480 pixels touchscreen display, a five megapixel camera with flash , full HD video recording, NFC capabilities, a 1700mAh battery, a microSD card slot, a microUSB port, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, Wi-Fi and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

At 8.8 mm thick, it is not as slim as some of its rivals (like the Motorola DROID RAZR) but its screen which uses the NOVA technology provides with a screen brightness of up to 500 NIT.

In effect, the LG Optimus L7 is an Optimus 2X squeezed into the body of the LG Optimus Black. Competitors to the L7 include the Galaxy Ace 2, the Samsung Galaxy S2, the Motorola Atrix and stock permitting, the Evo 3D and the LG Optimus 2X.
