A Challenger To The Galaxy S2 : Sony Xperia P Goes On Preorder For £225

The Sony Xperia P is rapidly emerging as a great alternative to the Samsung Galaxy S2 at a fraction of the price. is selling the smartphone (on preorder, with delivery date due for the 7th of May) for a mere £225.

That compares well with the HTC One V and the LG Optimus L7. The handset is unlocked and unbranded and comes with a two year warranty.

It also comes with a scratch-resistant glass, Sony WhiteMagic technology, Sony Mobile Bravia Engine, Timescape User interface and Android 2.3 Gingerbread (Ice Cream Sandwich wis already in the pipeline).

Other features include an eight megapixel camera with full HD video recording, a VGA front facing one, GPS, a 1305mAh battery, NFC, Wi-Fi, microUSB, HDMI and DLNA compatiblity.
