Vodafone To Sell Samsung Galaxy S3 / Next Galaxy

Hours after Samsung put thenextgalaxy.com teaser site online, UK mobile phone operator has put up a registration page for customers looking to receive updates about the Galaxy S3, the generic name given to the followup of the Galaxy S2.

The page calls for customers to register to "Be one of the first to know about its amazing features - and how you can get it on a Pay monthly contract".

Give that the page title is "Your next Samsung Galaxy - coming to Vodafone", it is likely that the phone will carry the same name.

The Galaxy S3 will be launched at an event in London next Wednesday, not only will ITProPortal be there but we will also be live blogging the event, as we normally do, for major happenings.

The phone is expected to come with a quad core processor, the Exynos 4412, clocked at 1.4GHz, with 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with 1,280 by 720 pixels resolution, NFC/wireless charging and possibly a ceramic case.

As it stands, the only other smartphone capable of competing with the S3 is the HTC One X which has been on the market for a few weeks already and whose price is rapidly approaching £400.
