Cheapest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Tablet Available From £70

The Eken T01 is one of the many tablets on the market that come with a capacitive screen, Ice Cream Sandwich and give established Android tablets a run for their money.

The device is on sale at Futeko for a mere £70 including delivery until tomorrow morning (or while stocks last) and has a very decent specification sheet at a price that makes it almost an impulse buy.

It comes with a 7in 800 x 480 pixels 5-point multi touch capacitive display, an Allwinner A10 Cortex-A8 based processor with a Mali-400 GPU clocked at 1GHz, 512MB RAM, 4GB onboard storage with a microSD card slot, a 1.3-megapixel front camera, around four hours battery life with a 2800mAh battery, HDMI out, a thickness of 13g and a weight of 356g.

There is no GPS but there is a microUSB port. Unlike some ICS tablets on the market, this one comes pre-installed with Android Market AKA Google Play.

There's not much competition at this price and should you add a 32GB microSD card for around £16, you'd get a very decent portable media player that doubles as an e-reader for less than £90.
