Samsung Galaxy S3 To Be 5in Long?

What looks like another picture of the Samsung Galaxy S3 has emerged this time with the smartphone next to a ruler, which gives a rough indication of its dimensions.

Clare Hopping of Knowyourmobile says that the picture was sent by an anonymous tipster and reckons that the device will be 130mm long, which is just under 5.12in long with a screen size of 4.8in or 122mm.

The launch of the Galaxy S3 may have caused the price of the Galaxy Nexus to fall significantly over the last few weeks. The phone - which together with the Galaxy Note and the Galaxy S2 represents Samsung's current flagship models - can now be had for £355,less than the Apple iPhone 4.

The phone will be launched this coming Thursday at an invite-only event in London where will be reporting via Rob Kerr, our mobile editor.

You can read more about the Samsung Galaxy S3 and all the gossip surrounding what could turn up to be the biggest non-Apple event of the year on our dedicated liveblog. We will covering the event live from Thursday at 1800 GMT.
