Samsung Galaxy S3 Press Shot Is Old Leak

What looked like the glossy picture (and hailed as being potentially the first legal press shot) of the Samsung Galaxy S3 has been debunked as an old picture which is almost certainly a (very well made) mockup.

The old picture looks a lot like a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with a lick of Galaxy S3 branding and a physical home button.

The only two confirmations about the phone include the fact that it will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will come with a quad core Samsung Exynos 4412 CPU clocked at 1.4GHz.

The handset is also expected to come with a Super AMOLED Plus display with a 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 (or the Next Galaxy as the Korean Chaebol puts it) will be launched this coming Thursday at an invite-only event in London where will be reporting via Rob Kerr, our mobile editor.

You can read more about the Samsung Galaxy S3 and all the gossip surrounding what could turn up to be the biggest non-Apple event of the year on our dedicated liveblog. We will covering the event live from Thursday at 1800 GMT.
