Skype For iPhone And iPad Update Improves User Interface

Skype has just updated its apps for iOS users, with Skype for iPhone and Skype for iPad at version 4.0 now available on iTunes since its release on 30th April.

The updates deliver a new feature, giving users the option of moving their own video preview during a video call. The revamped app advertises an enhanced user interface, "specifically the contact list and chat input", as well as improved accessibility and stability.

If something goes wrong and the app shuts down whilst running in the background, then the user is logged back into Skype automatically.

This new feature will surely make a difference when the user counts on Skype and the app is no longer active because of a lost connection or some other unknown reason. Skype has also announced on the official blog that the new versions of its app come with general bug fixes.

Skype for iPhone and iPad supports iOS 4.3 or later. This means compatibility with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, all three iPad generations and iPod touch, the fourth generation.
