The Sky Go app is currently undergoing the final stages of testing before it will be released to more Android devices. It is rumoured that the Sky Go app will become available for the Samsung Galaxy Note and devices running the Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 operating system.
The Android Sky Go app has only been released to certain Samsung and HTC handsets, rather then a platform-wide release. Sky can't run Sky Go on a device that has an HDMI port out as this would breach its broadcasting contract. It is also difficult due to the vast variety of differing screen resolutions and media players. Due to all these factors, Sky Go is only offered to a select number of phones that fall under Sky's requirements.
According to TechRadar, "Sky has begun testing the app for the Galaxy Nexus and are hopeful it will be out for the Nexus and ICS enabled handsets (including Galaxy Note) in the next couple of weeks".
The Galaxy Note upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich was delayed until the second quarter of this year, so we may see this update very soon as well.
