Triggertrap Joins Your iPhone With A SLR Camera

For photographers battling over the dilemma of choosing between their sophisticated DSLR camera and their trusted iPhone, there is a solution. The London-based Triggertrap offers a mobile app, which allows the iPhone to trigger the SLR camera in a dozen different modes.

The app advertises itself as a tool that unleashes the photographers' creativity, with the Triggertrap Mobile app offering 12 ways to snap creative pictures.

The users are invited to explore timelapse and eased timelapse modes. Both are great ways to explore photography on the move, as the devices are set to capture images on fixed or variable intervals.

The distance lapse mode uses the iPhone's built-in GPS to take a photo at regular distance-intervals. The app also acts as built-in sensors for shock and vibration, metal and magnetism, and even sound.

Facial recognition and two different HDR modes just add to the app's advantages. Released on 30 April, the Triggertrap Mobile app is available on iTunes for iPhone and iPad running on iOS 5 or later.

There are two versions, a free one that offers the full functionality as a trial and one with a £6.99 pricetag.
