Both Clove and Unlocked-mobiles.com have put the unlocked version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone on sale for just under £550 with the expected delivery date scheduled for the end of the month but Carphone Warehouse has it up for £499.95.
That's around 33 per cent more than the selling price of the Galaxy Note or the Galaxy Nexus and around £50 more expensive than the HTC One X. The handset was revealed yesterday in Earls Court at a Samsung UNPACKED Mobile event.
Other than the fact that it appears to be a variant of the Galaxy Nexus (quad core Exynos processor clocked at 1.4GHz, a bigger 2100mAh battery, eight megapixel camera), the S3 still comes with a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display with a slim bezel, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 16GB onboard storage and is only 8.6mm thin.
What Samsung hopes will differentiate the Galaxy S3 from the competition and previous flagship Galaxy phones is the fact that it comes with a number of smart features such as S Voice, SmartStay and SmartAlert which Samsung says will make the smartphone feel more human since it tracks the physical movement of the user.
