Samsung Galaxy S3 Rival Alert : Galaxy S2 Now Available From £18 Per Month

It might have been pushed down the pecking order by the S3 but the Galaxy S2 is still a decent alternative for the S3 especially for customers looking for a very capable smartphone with an upgrade path to Ice Cream Sandwich.

E2Save is offering the handset via Talkmobile, a Vodafone Mobile Virtual Network Operator, for as little as £18 per month on a two year contract, that's a total cost of ownership of £432.

The deal comes with 300 minutes, 1000 texts and 1GB worth of data which should be more than enough for a significant number of users out there. The Galaxy S3 in comparison can be had for around £26 per month but with a worse overall package.

As for the phone itself, it has a 4.3in Super AMOLED Plus screen with a 800 x 480 pixels display, a dual core Exynos processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, an eight megapixel camera with flash, 1080p HD video recorder, a front facing camera and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Given that the phone can now be had for around £350 SIM Free, it means that the price of the contract spread over two years is roughly £80.
