Nokia is offering a Nokia WH-930 Purity headset made by Monster to everyone who has purchased a Lumia 800 or a Lumia 900 from an authorised retailer during the month of May.
Nokia Lumia owners can claim the headset either by texting “lumiamonster” to 64446 before the 10th June 2012 or by registering the purchase online at lumiamonster.co.uk. The registration is opened for up to 28 days after the qualifying purchase.
The cheapest Lumia 800 we could find was a £340 SIM free model from Purelygadgets while the cheapest WH-930 on the market costs £115 rather than the £199 suggested retail price that Nokia has quoted in its marketing literature.
This means that the price of the Lumia 800 without the gift is around £225. In comparison, the Nokia Lumia 710, which has a slightly worse specification costs around £140.
The Lumia 800 was the first Nokia Windows Phone handset to hit the market. It runs on a single core Qualcomm Snapdragpon MSM8255T processor clocked at 1.4GHz with 512MB RAM and 16GB onboard storage.
There's a 3.7-inch curved glass Super AMOLED screen with ClearBlack technology, an eight-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and HD video recording capabilities as well as Skydrive cloud storage (7GB) plus a number of Nokia only features.
