The followup to the original Samsung Galaxy Tab tablet, the Tab 7.0 Plus, is now available for only £195 from Expansys which makes a cracking deal given that (a) there's apparently plenty of stock (b) there's no discount vouchers or codes involved.
The tablet is essentially an improved version of the first Galaxy Tab with a dual core Exynos processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage (with a microSD card slot that supports up to 64GB), a 7in display with a 1,024 x 600 pixels resolution, Android 3.2 Honeycomb, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct, a microUSB port, Bluetooth, AGPS and a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with 720p video recording plus a front 2-megapixel model.
Like the original Galaxy Tab, it comes with a 4000mAh battery and weighs around 350g. The tablet differs from the Tab 7.7 when it comes to the screen size, the price and the screen resolution. The Tab 7.0 Plus represents a good option for customers looking for a good value for money Android tablet.
The price drop could be linked to the forthcoming introduction of new Galaxy Tab models, possibly at IFA which will take place in Germany in a few months.
