HTC's latest budget handset, the Desire C, is now available for pre-order from the online retailer Clove, SIM free. The handset is being priced at £189.99 (including VAT), and will be available in black as of the 24th of May.
The High Tech Computer Corporation unveiled the Desire C earlier this week, confirming that the device runs from the Android ‘Ice Cream Sandwich' 4.0 OS, powered by a single-core 600MHz processor with 512MB of RAM.
The phone contains 4GB of internal memory, but storage is upgradeable through its microSD card slot. This is in addition to HTC offering users 25GB of free Dropbox storage, for two years. The device also features a 3.5in display, five-megapixel camera and Beats Audio technology.
T-Mobile has announced that it will offer the Desire C free on a £15.50 per month, on a two-year contract or for £169.99, on pay-as-you-go.
Earlier this month, ITProPortal exclusively published hands-on images of the Desire C mobile. At the same time, we confirmed the mobile's official name, which had only previously been known by the internal HTC Golf codename, or incorrectly, as the Wildfire C.
