LG has provided more details on the Optimus LTE 2, its new flagship smartphone which will take on the Samsung Galaxy S3 in a battle of epic proportions.
The phone has a 4.7in IPS display with a 1,280 x 720 pixels resolution. There's also a dual core Qualcomm MSM8960 processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 2GB RAM - the first portable device, tablet or smartphone, with that amount of on-board storage - a 2,150mAh battery, wireless charging capabilities and a weight of 145g.
The phone is said to be up to 40 per cent more efficient than the first Optimus LTE which means that you could expect up to ten hours battery life.
LG opted for a single physical button rather than no button at all and the Optimus LTE 2 comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with the new Optimus UI 3.0 user interface.
The Korean company has not yet announced how much the phone will cost and whether it will be available outside Korea. Samsung has been ruling supreme in the Android mobile market leaving LG and other manufacturers far behind.
The Optimus 2X, the Optimus Pad and the Optimus 3D have not been as successful as the company had expected to say the least.
