The price of the former top of the range smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy S2, has dropped a bit further, proof perhaps that Samsung is accelerating the clear out of the device also known as the I9100.
At £340, it is a full £160 cheaper than the Galaxy S3 and significantly cheaper than the two other Samsung mainstream handsets, the Galaxy Note and the Galaxy Nexus.
Amazon is also giving a £50 discount on the phone if you join the AudibleListener plan for 12 months at £8 per month. The S2, by all accounts, is still a very decent smartphone with a 4.3in 800 x 480 pixels Super AMOLED Plus display, a dual core Exynos processor clocked at 1.2Ghz, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, DLNA, HDMI out, Bluetooth, an eight megapixel camera with full HD video recording, a front facing one as well as Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
Samsung has also included a number of its own unique features like the Social. Readers, Game and Music hub as well as AllShare and TouchWiz user interface.
