US Customs Begins Releasing HTC Devices

The US Government has been withholding certain HTC handsets in customs, but is now beginning to release some devices into the US.

The HTC One X and the HTC EVO 4G LTE have both been delayed by the Customs office after the ITC ruled that HTC had indeed violated one of Apple's patents.

This week HTC released a statement explaining that "Each imported HTC model must be reviewed by Customs and will be released once Customs officials have completed the inspection.

"Some models have gone through inspection and been released to our carriers customers. We don't have the status of each specific device model at this time, but we are working closely with Customs.

"We remain confident that this issue will be resolved soon."

Whilst it has not been stated which devices will be released, HTC has made it clear that it will continue to resolve this issue.

The EVO 4G LTE for Sprint was supposed to be on shelves by 18th May and pre-orders for both the former and the One X for AT&T are yet to be fulfilled.
