Nokia World has been moved from the 25th-26th September to the 5th-6th September, and will only be open to Nokia's operator and retail partners.
Nokia World is the annual conference held by the Finnish device manufacturer, to announce and promote its new devices. In past years it has been one large scale event over two days that unveils new flagship mobile phones, but that is set to change this year.
Announced in the firm's blog this week, there have been some "changes to the format and date of Nokia World 2012."
"Instead of a single, large-scale event as we have had in years past, we will run a number of smaller, more intimate events with specific audiences in mind."
The first of these events, which will be "less CES, more SXSW", is for operator and retail partners only, and will be held in Helsinki on the 25th and 26th of September.
Heidi Lemmetyinen, of Nokia, explained how "with these more intimate events we want to provide the most enjoyable and rewarding experience tailored for each audience."
Further events will be announced in the coming weeks by Nokia.
