It seems that Panasonic will be making its new flagship device, the ELUGA Power, available in Q3. The device, announced at Mobile World Congress, originally had a shipping date of late April. According to online retailer, Clove, the release has now been pushed back to late June/early July.
"The ELUGA Power marks a true turning point - delivering both high performance and high-end style", Toshiya Matsumura, Panasonic's General Manager, Head of Mobile Communications, Panasonic System Commnications Europe said.
"In developing the ELUGA Power, we refused to compromise and remained ambitious. That's how we've managed to deliver the convenience of a 5-inch HD screen and superfast charging, make it water and dustproof, as well as add impressive features like NFC and a 1.5GHz processor. All in a slim, pocket-friendly and stylish smartphone."
The ELUGA Power smartphone features a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 8GB of storage with the option of a microSD card of up to 32GB extra storage, and 1GB of RAM.
The handset has a massive 5in display, an eight-megapixel camera capable of 1080p HD video recording, and runs Android 'Ice Cream Sandwich' 4.0 OS. The Panasonic smartphone comes in a slim, waterproof body.
Pre-orders started back in March, but it looks like consumers will have to wait until June at the earliest.
