Will US and Canadian smartphone buyers be able to kick off their summer with a brand-new Samsung Galaxy S3? According to several blogs, Samsung is prepping for a June 20th launch, and T-Mobile will be a US carrier.
MobileSyrup.com this week posted a screenshot that said the Galaxy S3 would be released on June 20th in North America, though it was later asked to remove the image.
TmoNews then posted a list of upcoming release dates for T-Mobile devices, with the 16GB and 32GB metallic blue versions of the Galaxy S3 scheduled for June 20th. The 16GB ceramic white Galaxy S3, however, won't be available until July 11th, the blog said.
That list also says that July 11th will be the day that T-Mobile gets both the Galaxy Note - Samsung's 5.3-inch smartphone/tablet hybrid, and the myTouch device from Huawei.
The Galaxy S3, meanwhile, is set to debut in Europe today, with Samsung prepping pop-up stores in London to show off the smartphone. It boasts a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED 1,280-by-720 display, and runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It features an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.9-megapixel front-facing one.
