Motorola Defy Mini Goes On Sale For £79

Asda has cut the price of the Motorola Defy Mini - otherwise known as the XT320 - to a mere £79 (if delivered in store, additional costs apply for postage). The smartphone is a smaller version of the Defy and as such sticks to the same ethos. It comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass screen that is scratch resistant and the phone itself is water resistant and dust proof.

It features a front facing and 3.2-megapixel rear camera with anti reflective lens as well as a 3.2in HVGA capacitive display, a 1650mAh battery and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The phone is unlocked and unbranded and measures only 12.6mm.

The rest of the specification reads as follows. A Qualcomm MSM7227 processor clocked at 600MHz, 512MB RAM, 512GB onboard storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a microSD card slot, four front touch buttons and a microUSB port.

There are better smartphones out there under £100 like the Orange San Francisco or the Huawei Ascend G300 (for £20 extra) but the Defy Mini's main attribute, the fact that it is "Lifeproof", means that it doesn't have any competition in this price range.
