Ultrabook Precursor Now Available From £196

Dixons is currently having a sale on refurbished laptops and notebooks offering a 15 per cent discount at checkout with no end date in sight.

At £195.50, the Advent Eclipse E300 laptop is probably one of the highlights of the sale. It is faster than almost all netbooks and cheaper than most as well.

It runs on an Intel Celeron SU2300 which has 1MB L2 cache and runs at 1.2GHz, there's also 2GB DDR3 memory, a 13in 1,366 x 768 pixels screen, a massive 250GB hard drive, a memory card reader, Ethernet port, Wi-Fi, three USB 2.0 ports (but no Bluetooth), a webcam, a 4-cell battery with a three hours battery life and weighs only 1.71kg.

We're not sure whether it comes with a HDMI or a VGA port although it is likely that it will have one of them. At under £200, the Eclipse doesn't have competition and only the fact that it is refurbished could discourage customers from buying it.

Dixons says that the "laptop has been professionally checked, tested and repackaged. It comes with a reassuring 12-month warranty and offers fantastic savings over the 'as new' price."
