Viewsonic to unveil 22in Android ICS tablet at Computex

Viewsonic is going to launch a tablet the size of a computer monitor at the grand Taiwanese event that is Computex (which starts on the 5th and ends on the 9th).

The 22in monster "smart business tablet monitor" is part of the company's "Touch and Connect" series and will likely target businesses keen to allow consumers to interact with their displays.

It will apparently run Ice Cream Sandwich and a Windows 8 version will also be available. Expect it to be a multi touch capacitive display as well with a 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution (or maybe a 2,560 x 1,440 pixels one).

Still, it is not the biggest touchscreen display or computer on the market. Microsoft's CEO, Steve Ballmer, has an 80in Windows 8-based tablet in its office and Microsoft has been selling the Surface projection table (which is kind of a tablet) for a few years already.

No details have emerged around the pricing, availability and exact hardware used by the tablet. It will be interesting to see whether it can be used as a standalone monitor as well.
