Price of Cheapest Ultrabook falls to less than £500

Currys has cut the price of its cheapest ultrabook - the Toshiba Satellite Z830-10U - to £495 until tonight when you enter UBOOK10 at check out and will give £10 cash for every goal that England scores at the Euro 2012 (which starts this Friday). The offer is also valid on other ultrabooks.

The product comes with a Sandy-Bridge-based Intel Core i5-2467M which is a two core, four threads processor clocked at 1.6GHz with a turbo frequency of 2.3GHz. It has 3MB L3 cache and a TDP of 17W with an Intel HD 3000 graphics subsystem clocked at 350MHz.

It also packs 6GB of RAM, a 128GB solid state drive, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, a 13.3in LED with a 1,366 x 768 pixels resolution, Dolby advanced audio, a card reader, two USB 2.0 ports and USB 3.0 port, HDMI, VGA, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, a webcam and up to eight hours battery life (with an eight battery cell), tiled backlit keyboard and a multi touch touchpad and a GbE port.

At 1.12 Kg and with a thickness of only 15.9mm, it is possibly one of the lightest ultrabooks. Toshiba also threw a number of features and applications like Tosgiba disc creator, Asssist, Toshiba Power Saver, Toshiba Zooming Utility, Toshiba PC Diagnostic Tool, Toshiba Flash Cards, Toshiba Components Common Driver, Toshiba Accessibility, Toshiba Button Support, WildTangent Games console and more.
