The Toshiba Satellite Pro C660-2JD (PSC1ME-02100KEN) is the first sub £300 laptop that comes with 8GB in the UK as far as we know.
The laptop, which is on sale at Saveonlaptops, comes with a dual core Intel Celeron B815 which is a Sandy-bridge-based part clocked at 1.6GHz with Intel HD 3000 graphics and 2MB L3 cache.
There's also two 4GB DDR3 memory modules, a 320GB hard disk drive, a DVD writer, Wi-Fi, a 15.6in Toshiba TruBrite TFT display with a 1,366 x 768 pixels LED backlit display, WiFi, a card reader, Bluetooth 3.0, VGA (but no HDMI), an Ethernet port, webcam and Windows 7 Home premium as well as a dedicated numeric keypad.
Toshiba says that the laptop can last up to six hours which is more than decent and like on many laptops the touchpad is closer to the left edge of the device.
As expected, the laptop comes with an impressive array of bloatware including Toshiba's own Disc creator, Assist, Face recognition, photo service, recovery media creator and Value Added package as well as Mc Afee security suite, WildTangent Games console, Skype, Ebay and more.
