Digimate launches 27in 2,560 x 1,440 pixels IPS monitor for £320

Digimate has informed us that it has start selling the DGM IPS-2701WPH, its first 27in Widescreen IPS Monitor which comes with a qHD resolution and costs around twice the price of similar sized full HD monitors.

At £320, it is significantly more expensive than models coming from South Korea that have appeared on Ebay but then, you will almost certainly need to pay for VAT and other associated fees plus you will have to send back the monitor back to South Korea should there be any problems.

The monitor has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels which is four times the normal HD ready resolution (1,280 x 720 pixels). It has a pixel pitch of 0.2331mm, can diplay up to 16.7 million colours, has a brightness of 350cd/m2 and a typical contrast ratio of 1000:1.

Other features include a response time of 6ms, HDMI, Displayport, DVI-D and VGA ports, two stereo speakers, VEGA wall mount and a power consumption of 120W.

According to Digimate, the panel is made by Samsung and the monitor is a LED-backlit one.
