HTC One S Smartphone goes on sale for £16 per month!

Mobile phone retailer Carphone Warehouse is offering the HTC One S, which was announced back in February at MWC, for a mere £16 per month on a two year contract (check our review of the HTC One S).

That's a total cost of ownership of £384, not bad given that the price of the phone on PAYG and SIM Free at Carphone Warehouse is a staggering £430 (note that the phone is likely to be unlocked as for the majority of phones from CPW).

So in effect, it costs you LESS to get the phone on a contract than to buy it outright. The contract, with Talkmobile, includes 200 minutes, 500 texts and, surprise, surprise, unlimited data (subject to fair use policy).

As for the phone, it is powered by a dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8260A processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 1GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage. It doesn't have a microSD card slot but does come with 25GB Dropbox storage (for two years).

Other features include a 7.95mm profile, a 4.3in 960 x 540 pixels AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass, an 8-megapixel camera with full HD video and a f2.0 28mm wide-angle lens, a front facing VGA camera, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, DLNA, Beats Audio technology, a 1650mAh battery and up to nine hours talktime.
