Sony is currently selling the refurbished Tablet S for £220, one which has been recertified with a standard warranty from Sony as well as full after sale service including the automatic registration of the user's details. That compares to around £300 at Amazon.
The tablet has a 9.4in 1,280 x 800 pixels display with a "wedge" profile, a dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor clocked at 1GHz, 1GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, Playstation Suite an Sony Network Entertainment compatibility plus the ability to control your AV equipment straight from the tablet.
Other features include Android 3.1 Gingerbread (with a path to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich), a full SD card slot (which cannot be mounted unfortunately), a unique tapered shape that, according to users, makes it easier to hold, a universal remote control feature, an optional dock that allows drop in charge system, a 5-megapixel camera, an eight hour battery life, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a microUSB port, GPS and a VGA front facing camera.
Given that you can now get a 32GB SD card for less than £13 or a 64GB model for under £29, it would make sense to grab a card on the cheap.
