Android 4.0.3 is now available for Sony's Tablet P and Tablet S, the company has announced.
The update comes a few weeks after its expected end-of-May launch, but brings some much-anticipated changes to the devices nonetheless. The Android Ice Cream Sandwich update also incorporates custom Sony features and apps.
Among other improvements, the 4.0.3 release offers a brand-new user interface with features like drag-and-drop folder creation, improved multitasking and a faster, more intuitive web browser that now supports offline reading.
The Ice Cream Sandwich update brings Tablet S users the ability to directly access their SD cards as well, making it easier to view images and videos. There are also reportedly more sophisticated image editing and sharing functions.
The new release also offers a new feature called Small Apps, which allows users to manage their apps by keeping frequently used apps on top of other functions, making them more accessible when necessary.
Owners of either the Sony Tablet S or Tablet P in select territories can now download the upgrade for free.
