HP launched its first HP Smart Business Awards in order to show its commitment to small and mid sized businesses across the UK and highlight innovation and growth.
Winning businesses will get HP hardware, winners rights and a package of business support services (including a LinkedIn pro account) plus one business will get the overall title of HP Smart Business of the Year 2012.
That business will also get business monitoring from HP advisers and a branding consultant where the winner will receive advice on how to develop and grow their business.
The overall winner will also get a place on the Santander Breakthrough Trade Mission; the most recent one flew 11 of UK's most promising female-owned-and-run businesses to the US in May.
The award categories include Social Media, Global Reach, Next Generation, Community Support, Manufacturing Innovation, Green Award and Use of Mobile.
The judging panel includes Susan Bowen and Rebecca Shears of HP, John Williams from Santander and Iain Bristow from AMD. The closing date for the entries are on the 29 June 2012 and more details about the competition - including the submission form - can be found on HP's dedicated Smart Business Awards.
