Tumblr has released a revamped version of its iOS blogging app, including a host of new features intended to make use easier and more appealing.
Version 3.0 is "better in every possible way," complete with a redesigned dashboard, high-resolution image and Spotify support, tag searching, and more, according to the app's iTunes Store description.
The updated app was rebuilt from the ground up, with faster upload times, camera and text-post shortcuts, and offline support that lets users post, like, reply, and reblog without a Web connection.
The blogging service's long-awaited iOS changes resemble the facelift Android received in April, according to VentureBeat. Currently, the app does not feature ads, but CEO David Karp expects them in the future.
In the five years since Tumblr hit the Web, its popularity has grown, counting 15.9 million unique visitors in November 2011.
Tumblr for iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad is available for free on the iTunes Store.
