Lightroom added to Adobe Creative Cloud

Adobe is making it more tempting to sign up for its Creative Cloud service.

The company has announced that it is adding its Lightroom 4 software for editing and cataloguing photos to Creative Cloud. Subscribers will now be able to download and use the app as part of their subscription.

Creative Cloud, launched in May, is a £46.88-per-month Web-based subscription service that provides access to Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, DreamWeaver, Premiere Pro, and other Creative Suite 6 (CS6) software, as well as updates. The service includes all of Adobe's mobile apps, too, as well as online collaboration and project hosting capabilities. Adobe said it will continue to expand Creative Cloud offerings.

"The addition of Lightroom to Creative Cloud delivers on our promise to bring the best in Adobe innovation to Creative Cloud members," Winston Hendrickson, vice president products for creative media solutions at Adobe, said in a statement. "Over the next few months we'll continue to add new products and services, keeping Creative Cloud members up to date with the latest advancements in Adobe software and services."
