LG Optimus L3 smartphone down to £49.95!

Carphone Warehouse has cut the price of the LG Optimus L3 E400 to a mere £49.95 down from more than £130. The phone rivals the T-Mobile Rapport (Huawei U8180 or Ideos X1) which costs the same.

The L3 was launched in January 2012, weighs 110g and is 12mm thick. It has a 3.2in capacitive display with a 320 x 240 pixels resolutioon. Other features include a Qualcomm MSM8227 processor clocked at 800MHz with an Adreno 200 GPU, 384MB of RAM, 1GB onboard storage a microSD card slot, Wi-Fi, a microUSB port, a 3.2-megapixel camera, DLNA, Bluetooth 3.0, a 1500mAh battery and runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread.

It is highly unlikely that the phone will ever get Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean. The phone requires a compulsory £10 top up either on Virgin Media, T-Mobile or Vodafone.

Worth noting that you get 12 months free data with your smartphone (that's 1GB per month) with your first top-up bonus doubled. Note that one chargable call or text each month is required to qualify for the free Internet for the next month.
