Asus Eee Pad Transformer now available from £199.99

Asus' first tablet, which was launched last year, can now be purchased from Consumerelectricals on Ebay for as little as £199.99.

It is a manufacturer refurbished part which means that it has been reconditioned by Asus itself. It also comes with a full 12 months warranty and should in theory come with accessories as well.

The tablet, known as the TF101-1B027A, is 13mm thick and weighs a mere 680g. It is powered by a dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor clocked at 1GHz, has 1GB of RAM, 16GB storage, a HDMI port, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front facing one, and a 10.1in IPS 1,280 x 800 pixels display with Gorilla Glass. It also boasts Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a microSD card slot, and runs on Android 3.0 Honeycomb (with Ice Cream Sandwich update and possibly Jelly Bean coming).

When we reviewed it back in June 2011, it was available for over £440 and our own Sandra Vogel gave it a Best Buy, noting that it comes with an optional docking station (that doubles as a keyboard and a touchpad, adds two USB ports and a SD card slot) that exends the battery life of the device from nine hours to 16 hours.
