HTC Flyer tablet discounted to as little as £199 as followup looms

You can now grab an HTC Flyer P510E, the 32GB version with 3G capabilities, for as little as £199 from LaptopOutlet on Ebay. The tablet was announced at Mobile World Congress back in 2011 but sales have proved disappointing, mostly due to the price.

The models on sale at LaptopOutlet are refurbished, with a one year warranty. The tablet is still a pretty good one but is set to become quasi obsolete thanks to the launch of the Google Nexus 7, which will cost as little as £190 for the 16GB model - read the review of the Google Nexus 7 tablet.

The Flyer still has a few advantages compared to the Google Nexus 7. It comes with 32GB of onboard storage and has a microSD card slot, which means that you can get a 64GB tablet for only £15 extra. It also has a rear 5-megapixel camera, supports HDMI out, is 3G capable and has a capacitive stylus which allows users to draw or sign on the tablet itself.

Other features include a single core Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255T clocked at 1.5GHz, 1GB of RAM, a 7in 1,024 x 600 pixels display, a front facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, a USB 2.0 port, a 4000mAh battery and Android 3.2 Honeycomb (we're not sure whether it will be upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich or Jelly Bean).
